First, I wanted to say that I am absolutely thrilled to officially join this wonderful community. The warmth and welcoming spirit I've already experienced have been truly inspiring, and I cannot wait to get to know all of you better as we move forward. As we come together to celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday on July 4th, we should pause to reflect on the journey that began with the Declaration of Independence. While this grand celebration is an important national milestone, I feel the true heart of the American story has always beaten strongest at the local community level. The sweeping ideals of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness aren't just historical concepts; they are the foundation of how we live, work, and support one another right here in our own neighborhoods. As the national celebration highlights the importance of service and shared history for this America250 milestone, we are reminded that our own communities thrive on these exact principles. The strength of our nation over the last two and a half centuries hasn't just come from the sweeping events of history, but from the dedication of everyday citizens choosing to find common ground and work together to build safer, more connected places to call home. After all, community living may be democracy in its most practical, everyday form. It is found in the simple acts of neighborliness, whether that means organizing a local cleanup, checking in on a vulnerable resident, volunteering time to support our local programs, or welcoming new friends to this wonderful community. It is how we treat and support each other, and our active participation, shared ownership and trust that supports this resilient and vibrant community. As we mark this incredible 250-year milestone, let us use this celebration as a catalyst to strengthen our own community bonds for the future. I encourage everyone to get involved in our local community activities and festivities, find new ways to support your neighbors and make new friends. Let this Fourth of July be more than just fireworks and barbecues; let it be a renewed commitment to each other. By investing in our community today, we honor the legacy of the past and help write the next great chapter of the American story right outside our own front doors. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who helped make Christine Wells’ Farewell Reception such a memorable celebration. The incredible efforts of the Committee (pictured on the cover) helped create such a thoughtful and meaningful tribute to Christine. She will be missed! The outpouring of gratitude and kindness was a wonderful reflection of the spirit that makes Lake Ashton such a special community. Clubhouse Staff is pictured at left. The seasonal weather encourages rapid plant growth and creates a vibrant summer landscape throughout the community. Staying hydrated is especially important. Whether you are walking, exercising outdoors, or joining indoor activities, drinking enough water can help prevent heat-related illness and support your overall well-being. July is also a time to be aware of severe weather changes, and although NOAA is predicting a below-average hurricane season for 2026, residents should be prepared. A helpful pamphlet about Polk County public shelters, including a 7-day disaster supply kit list and other valuable information is available at the HFC. Stop by for your copy and stay safe. July will start off with a bang in our community with a week-long 4th of July celebration. Be sure to check the June LA Times which provides a list of all the fun activities planned and be sure to watch the 4th of July parade featuring golf carts in their patriotic decorations, special VIPs from both Lake Wales and Winter Haven and a few surprises. The parade begins at 10 AM and will end up at the HFC where there will be a festive Food Truck rally with BBQ, hot dogs with your favorite toppings, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, cool and refreshing Italian ice and an ice-cream truck with all your delicious ice-cream treats. Please mark your calendar for the Lake Ashton II Community Development District (LA 2 CDD) meeting on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 9:00 AM in the Community Center. This meeting is a valuable opportunity to stay informed about district matters, participate in discussions, and connect with fellow residents. Your involvement helps support the continued growth and well-being of the Lake Ashton community. We hope you will join us for this memorable community celebration. It promises to be a special occasion and a wonderful opportunity to come together and enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime event.

Working with the Federal Trade Commission, he enacted numerous safeguards against identity theft and is a subject-matter expert in financial and personal data protection. He is Chief Executive Officer of Mecsics & Associates, LLC, in Winter Haven, FL. It is a security, law enforcement, business continuity, emergency preparedness, and general management consulting company. Jim met his bride, Judith, in high school, and they were married for 42 years. They raised two wonderful children. After retiring, they moved to Lake Ashton in 2007. Unfortunately, in 2013, Judi died of breast cancer. Judi’s sisters, Gretchen and Susan Frantz, also reside in LA East, and Jim and Judi’s sisters are blessed to enjoy each other’s company. As Chairman of the Lake Ashton II Community Development District, he leads a five-member Board of Supervisors. Jim oversees community support for the Winter Haven 635-home community. His single most important accomplishment on the board was assisting in the purchase of the two 18-hole golf courses. He provides outstanding leadership and management through numerous natural and fiscal challenges. Jim is the Commander of the Lake Ashton Veterans Association, a member of the LA Citizens Assisted Patrol, the LA Community Emergency Response Team, and the LA Amateur Radio Club. Additionally, he is a past member of the LA West Homeowners Association Liaison (before the current Homeowners Association). He said, “Lake Ashton is a great place for great people, and I want to keep it great for the future.” He has met personally with President George Bush regarding funds for the nuclear weapon enterprise. He is Board Certified in Homeland Security, Level V (the highest level). Jim was the person on 9/11 who made the phone call from NORAD, in the Cheyenne Mountain Colorado Space Force Station, to shut down all air traffic inbound and outgoing to the United States: “This is NORAD, ground all aircraft operations.” Jim collects drum sets and has 22 drum sets in cases in his home. His favorite drum set is a 1964 Slingerland in his living room. He was a filler drummer on Broadway for “Hello Dolly,” “Hair,” and “Promises, Promises.” He was a session drummer during the recording of “Brandy” by the band Looking Glass. Sheriff’s Service Officer Jim Mecsics has many titles. The title he is most proud of is grandfather. He enjoys his two granddaughters, Ella and Maya. Colonel James J. Mecsics (retired) is another reason why Lake Ashton is “Simply the Best.”

L.A. LOOKS Wildlife Corner Photo & Article By Barbara Ann Comer The killdeer is a year-round resident at Lake Ashton. This medium-sized shorebird can be seen walking or running along golf cart paths or flying low in open areas. It is brown and white with two black rings around its neck and has a rusty colored tail. It nests on the ground often close to water. A nest can be easily overlooked, but the parent will put on a convincing “broken wing display” when people or predators are too clos, attempting to draw attention to itself. Killdeer call vociferously “killdeer, killdeer, killdeer”, hence the name. Lake Ashton residents have often put markers around known nest sites to help protect them. Shortly after the chicks are born they are wide-eyed and ready to run. They are a precocial species that spends extra time developing in the egg. These adorable fluff-balls resemble the parents, but only have one ring around the neck. CLUBHOUSE ART WALL By Shelley Brodka We have some amazing artists, photographers, glass and craft designers in Lake Ashton, and we hang their art on the hallway wall of the Clubhouse. Each month a new artist’s work is featured and is hung for a month for you to enjoy. When in the Clubhouse, please make a point of looking at the wall of art in the hallway, across the hall from the beautiful Quilt on display. We now have openings for the Clubhouse Art Wall in the months of March - December 2029, and beyond. You can do a solo showing or enlist some friends to have their works of art displayed with yours. If you are interested in showing your art, photography, or crafting skills and having your work displayed on the Clubhouse Wall, contact Shelley Brodka at Shelleyb4336@gmail.com or text 623-910-4227 to get on the Calendar. LA (LW) HOA CORNER By Deanne Mayne The HOA extends a warm welcome to our new board member, Kathie McGlaughlin, who was appointed to the board at their June meeting. Kathie was involved with the HOA at her last residence and we welcome her experience. Kathie will take over duties as secretary in the next few months. Her email is secretary@lakeashtonhoa.org. Compliance is issuing a “report card” for residents. Overall, mailboxes receive an” A-”, Driveways are “B+”, and Trash bins are between “B+ and B”. Drives through the community show how residents are putting in the extra effort to keep properties looking great! This is the best way to make sure property values remain high! Compliance will continue to look at paint and mulch in July. Homeowners have wondered why ARC and Compliance members have been seen in resident’s yards. This happens when ARC is checking on a request or inspecting work that was submitted through ARC Tracker. The HOA needs to confirm that the project does not cross property lines or encroach on wetlands and/or CDD property. Estoppel inspections are also a reason for Compliance to walk on resident’s property. Compliance and ARC always check with residents before conducting an inspection. The ARC Guidelines revisions will be voted on at a future board meeting (date to be determined) Residents will be notified at least 14 days prior to the meeting and the proposed Guidelines will be posted on the HOA website: lakeashtonhoa.org that is linked to Stambaugh, our management company. Finally, the regular July meeting will not take place on the scheduled date (July 1) since many board members will be away. Stay tuned for a possible meeting in mid-July to vote on the Guidelines.
LAII (WH) HOA/ARC CORNER By Connie Strassberg The LAII HOA will not meet in July. The next regularly scheduled Board of Directors meeting will be on Thursday, August 6 at 1 pm in the HFC Community Center. The LA2 HOA wishes all residents a Happy 250th Independence Day! They currently contain Email Contact Authorization forms and various information flyers about the HOA and the ARC. We will soon add flyers about Compliance. Forms can be picked up from the flyer slots, completed, and either mailed to Stambaugh or placed in the white HOA mailbox at the HFC. Without authorization, privacy laws prevent us from contacting you. The LAII HOA website provides access to announcements, posted documents, the directory, calendar, and online dues payment. The website is https://stambaugh.cincwebaxis.com. First-time users should click REGISTER in the upper-right corner to create an account. The LAII HOA Board of Directors usually meets on the first Thursday of the month at 1 pm at the HFC (please check at the front desk for location). The agenda for the meetings will be emailed to all who are signed up to receive email or can be found in our flyer spots after they have been finalized. We will also post them on TOLA and on our own Facebook Group: LA2 HOA/ARC INFO. If you live in Winter Haven, sign up by submitting a request that includes your name and LAII address. The Architectural Review Committee (ARC) meetings are scheduled for the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 1 pm at the HFC (please check at the front desk for the location). SAFETY All vehicles, including golf carts and bicycles, must obey all stop signs and the 20 mph speed limit throughout Lake Ashton. A person operating a golf cart on public roads or streets who is under 18 years must possess a valid learner’s permit or driver’s license. NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH (NW) CORNER By Fay Wood, NW Chief Don’t Become a Victim of Summertime Crime Summer is a wonderful time for vacations, family visits, and outdoor activities, but it is also a time when property crimes can increase. Criminals don’t take a summer break, so staying alert and taking a few simple precautions can help protect your home, vehicle, and personal belongings. According to the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC), household property crimes occur more frequently during the summer months than other seasons. Before heading out on vacation or enjoying time away from home, take steps to make your property less inviting to criminals. Home Safety Tips • Stay informed: The free McGruff Mobile app helps residents stay connected with their communities by providing safety information, alerts, and the ability to share information about suspicious activity. It can also help you stay informed about nearby home and vehicle burglaries while you are away. • Lock all doors and windows: Don’t forget garage doors and side entrances. An unlocked door can be an open invitation. • Ask for help while away: Have a trusted neighbor, friend, or family member check on your home, pick up packages, or hold your mail. • Create the appearance of someone being home: Use timers on lights and avoid leaving obvious signs that your home is vacant. • Be careful on social media: Avoid announcing travel plans before leaving. Wait until you return to share vacation photos. Vacation Safety Tips • Keep hotel rooms secure and avoid sharing your room number with strangers. • Stay aware of your surroundings and report suspicious behavior. • Plan ahead and use well-traveled routes when walking or driving. • Keep personal items secure. Close purses and backpacks, keep wallets in a front pocket, and avoid placing bags where they can easily be taken. Safety Tips for Grandparents • Have a plan in case family members become separated during outings. Choose a meeting location and time. • Encourage grandchildren and teens to check in when leaving and returning home. • Monitor internet and social media activity to help ensure safe online habits. Vehicle Safety Tips • Always lock your vehicle and close windows when leaving your car. • Never leave valuables visible inside your vehicle. If items must remain in the car, store them out of sight or in the trunk. • Check around and inside your vehicle before getting in, and lock your doors once inside. Another valuable safety resource is Alert Polk, Polk County’s emergency notification system. Sign up to receive important alerts regarding severe weather, evacuations, boil water notices, hurricanes, critical law enforcement notifications, and other public safety concerns. Notifications are sent directly to your phone or email, helping you stay informed of situations that may affect your safety. Register at https:// www.polksheriff.org/citizen-alerts. Simple prevention steps can go a long way toward keeping you, your home, and your belongings safe this summer. Your Neighborhood Watch Team wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable summer. Remember: If you see something, say something!
WILDLIFE ALERT • Never feed alligators; it encourages them to lose their natural fear of people. Female alligators build a mound nest of soil, vegetation, or debris and deposit an average of 32 to 46 eggs in late June or early July. Incubation requires approximately 63-68 days, and hatching occurs from mid-August through early September. Alligators and crocodiles are an important part of Florida's heritage and play a valuable role in the ecosystems where they live. Those who live near lakes and ponds should expect to see alligators from time-to time but they should never be fed or approached. If you see an alligator: • Always give these reptiles a respectful distance — at least 10 feet — and always leave them alone • If you encounter an alligator outside its natural habitat, call the Nuisance Alligator Hotline: 1-866-FWC-GATOR (392-4286). • Alligators are nocturnal animals, more active during the night. After dark, avoid fresh and brackish bodies of water, though alligators sometimes lurk in salt water. Unprovoked bites will often occur at the edge of the water. • Small animals, like pets, and small children are generally more at risk than large adults. • Female alligators protect their nests by hissing and opening their mouths; this does not mean they are preparing to attack. • Alligators under 4 feet in length are not considered a threat to humans. Brochures about coexisting with alligators and crocodiles are available at the Clubhouse Office. The FWC has several rules that prohibit feeding wildlife, including bears, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, pelicans, sandhill cranes, bald eagles, and alligators.
STORM SEASON All residents who will be spending the summer months in Florida should prepare for severe weather. A detailed list of storm tips can be found at https:// www.lakeashtoncdd.com under additional district and in the Murray Zacharia Media Center in the Clubhouse. This is a good time to ensure trees on your property are trimmed to avoid potential projectiles during a storm. Residents noticing any trimming needed in Lake Wales conservation areas should email Matt at mfisher@gmscfl.com. Lake Ashton Community Development District (LACDD) is the only entity that can perform maintenance in these areas. Include your name, phone number, address, and a small description of the area in question. Staff will conduct a site visit and determine what steps need to be taken.

CLUBS LA AMATEUR RADIO CLUB By David Bishop The Lake Ashton Amateur Radio Club has received authorization from the FCC to operate a Special Event Station using the call sign K4Y (Kilo 4 Yankee) in celebration of the 250th anniversary of US Independence at Lake Ashton. K4Y is a specialized call sign designated by the FCC specifically to commemorate this historic event. Our club members will be operating from Lake Ashton between July 1 and July 5, on several amateur radio bands, connecting with amateur radio stations across the United States and around the world. To mark these contacts, we will be issuing digital certificates to all participating stations. Given the rarity of special event stations, we anticipate significant interest and look forward to sharing the spirit of Lake Ashton with the global amateur radio community. LA BLACK HERITAGE CLUB By Pamela June As the U.S. marks its 250th anniversary, LABHC reflects on the nation’s founding ideals and the complex reality of freedom for Black Americans. The 1776 Declaration of Independence announced the birth of a nation, freedom from British rule. However, 20% of the population were excluded from the liberties proclaimed and continued to be subject to generations of chattel slavery. Slavery was abolished almost 100 years later in 1865, but was followed by what is known as the “Jim Crow Era,” characterized by widespread lynching, voting restrictions, hiring barriers, underpayment and systemic segregation. The Civil Rights Act of 1964, a significant milestone, ended legal segregation and racial discrimination. LABHC celebrates the birth of our young nation, while honoring the history and fortitude of Black Americans. We remain committed to sharing knowledge, honoring heritage and celebrating our nation’s diverse stories, while continuing to support the ideals of liberty and justice for all. LA ROCKERS By MJ Richards LA Rockers have been busily painting Patriotic Rocks for the 250th celebration. If you attend events at the HFC on the Fourth of July you will more than likely be rewarded with a rock as a memento of this incredible occasion for our country! We also worked on a kindness project of painting pocket hug rocks. Over 400 rocks were placed in boxes at the Clubhouse and the HFC. We assume you loved them, as they were all gone within a week! The group will be taking a hiatus from classes until the middle of August. We will, however, continue to hide rocks throughout the summer so be on the lookout! If you are interested in trying your hand at painting rocks and joining our meeting August 19, please contact MJ at mjmrichards517@gmail.com a week before. An orientation and all the supplies needed for your first class will be provided. Have a wonderful summer and remember to be kind. LAVA AUXILIARY By Lori Thomas The Lake Ashton Veterans Auxiliary Association (LAVAA) held a successful Red, White, and Blue Bow Fundraiser during April in support of our nation's veterans. Throughout Military Appreciation Month in May, the patriotic bows were proudly displayed on mailboxes and golf carts throughout the Lake Ashton community, serving as a visible tribute to those who have served our country. Thanks to the tremendous generosity of Lake Ashton residents, the fundraiser raised a total of $1,420! The success of the event was made possible through the support of many individuals and organizations, including the Lake Ashton Pro Shop and HFC, which assisted with bow sales totaling $400 and $385, respectively. LAVAA extends its heartfelt thanks to all of our generous neighbors for their purchases and donations. We are also especially grateful to the dedicated Auxiliary members who worked tirelessly to organize and sell bows throughout the fundraiser. The proceeds from this event will be used to support programs and services that benefit our veterans. The overwhelming participation from the community reflects Lake Ashton’s strong commitment to honoring and supporting those who have served our nation.
SINGLES CLUB By Sil Wells GARDEN CLUB By Pam Klawinski Sunday afternoons the Lake Ashton Singles play cards in the Clubhouse Ballroom from 2 to 4 pm. Monthly meetings are held the first Sunday of the month and a Singles Mingle meets at the Pavilion once a month, weather permitting. The Singles major project is contributing to Senior Orphans. This Organization supports seniors in Polk County with very low incomes. The clients are asked very casually by the case worker what three things they would wish for if there is a Santa Claus. Our group is one of many that grant these wishes with Christmas in July and again in December, by shopping and wrapping their gifts and giving each a store gift card from our donations. All Lake Ashton singles are welcome. Come join this fun and interesting group. Our June meeting was an outing to Bok Tower Gardens to participate in their Summer Craft Series, “Blooms & Brushes”. Garden Club members who attended enjoyed creating their own Flower Press to take home. There will be no meetings in July and August as we are taking a short hiatus. Have a fun and safe summer and look forward to seeing you when regular meetings resume on September 9 in the Pavilion at 10 am. By Brenda Lee Food for People • Herbs for Flavor • Flowers for Pollinators • Community for All Constantly evolving, the Lake Ashton Community Garden continues to grow, even through drought conditions. The lack of rain has not stopped our food from growing or our members from gathering. While we are not holding official sit-down meetings during the summer months, gardeners continue to meet at the garden to water, harvest, and share. And sharing, of course, means much more than crops. Friendships are strengthened, knowledge is exchanged, and lessons learned are passed from one gardener to another. We invite you to stop by and witness the beauty of growth in action. Sweet potatoes thrive, herbs flourish, and our pollinator plants continue to provide color and nourishment for bees, butterflies, and other visitors. And those flowers? They continue to be shared with our community through bouquets created from the garden. “A garden is not a place. It is a journey.” — Monty Don GENEALOGY CLUB By Jane Imparl The next meeting will take place on Wednesday, July 8 at 2 to 3:30 pm in the HFC Craft Room. In June, we began discussing an important topic: organization. What do we do with all the info we collect about our ancestors? We will continue on this topic. In addition, we will discuss the importance of historical context. It sounds boring at first glance, but oh, there is so much interesting information to find to help us understand the times in which our ancestors lived and how those times influenced their lives for the good and the bad. Come join us and get a chance to meet some of your great neighbors at our July meeting. All levels of expertise are welcome. Questions? Call Jane at 815-545-6655. KNIFE & SCISSORS SHARPENING The Lake Ashton Woodworkers continue to sharpen knives and scissors as a fundraiser. Contact Fred or Shelba Powell if you are in need of their services at 863-280-6546.

Brad Kirwan’s Lake Ashton Customers Discuss His Real Estate Work Excellent Our experience with Brad was exceptional! Our transaction was unique in that; Brad worked with us from out of state. He was not only extremely talented as a Real Estate agent, but much more. He took a vested interest in our situation from day one. He is an excellent communicator, tremendous in detail, and went way beyond expectations throughout the process. Also, he is very caring and personal as an advocate, doing what ever it takes to not only to satisfy, but truly puts himself in the shoes of his client. I felt as though he was engaging as if it were his own home to sale. We’ve been involved in many real estate transactions over many years, and Brad is the best agent we’ve ever experienced! He is the real deal and I highly recommend him. You won’t be disappointed! The Family of Jim Andrews Verified by RateMyAgent Curious about your home’s current market value? GOLF LALGA By Beverly Hines Congratulations to our Red Hoagland Challenge Winners, pictured here. The top 4 members who have earned the most prize money during the LALGA year (June 2025 through May 2026) are Nancy Zografos ($80), Joanne McKinley ($60), Carolyn Alvaro ($40), and Liz Leigh ($20). Thank you, Red Hoagland Hyundai, for your continued support. Those already in the game should do the same to update yours at least annually to maintain an accurate GHIN. The fantastic team in the Pro Shop is ready to help and will get you set up in the GHIN system. If you’re playing in the league, they will automatically enter your scores from individual game days. If you play a round outside the league or at another course, you can enter those scores yourself. Just ask someone in the Pro Shop or one of your Niner comrades and they will be happy to show you how to do it. Our Summer Pick Your Partner Tournament will be held July 6 and 7 with the theme Cruising Down the Fairway. All players will be given a cruise shirt to wear in the tournament. Lunch will be served in the Eagles Nest after play on the second day. Stay hydrated and remember for the summer, 9-hole sign up is available. LA NINERS By Pamela June The LA Niners teed off into summer with a mix of fun scrambles and individual play days with the opportunity to post scores to your Golf Handicap & Information Network (GHIN). The Niners is a welcoming and challenging women's golf league to play in that allows everyone regardless of experience to participate. The GHIN allows us to compete with a handicap that helps level the playing field, or rather the golf course. Women of all skill levels are encouraged to join, learn, compete, and, most importantly, enjoy the game. You can easily establish your GHIN by recording three rounds of 18 holes or six rounds of 9 holes. 36 Beyond the fairways, the Niners periodically meet for lunch after the last ball has landed in the cup. The Lunch with Friends on June 2 brought together a hot but happy group of golfers who were rewarded with a delectable salad bar topped with roasted chicken and all the fixings, plus fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies. Rounding off the lunch gathering was a raffle where three lucky ladies walked away with a little “birdie juice,” a sleeve of golf balls, or a Niners bag tag. Vice President Debbie Shillito is pictured above right coordinating the raffle. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or just getting into the swing of things, the Niners will welcome you with open arms. To join the Niners, who play every Tuesday morning, or get more information about joining, contact Brenda Bowden at disneylvr63@yahoo.com. July Games Lineup • July 7: Individual Low Putts • July 14: Shamble: 2 Best Nets • July 23: Step Aside Scramble • July 28: 4 Person Scramble
LAMGA By David Kubissa Robert Whittington is a relatively new LAMGA member, having moved into Lake Ashton with wife Penny last July. But it didn’t take long for his skills to make his name known among the LAMGA members as he competed in the black/gold tee division. Then came the club championship in March 2026 when, amid winds reaching 20 mph or more, Robert shot a twoday total of 157 to win the Championship Division by five strokes and the title of Overall Men’s Club Champion. For that feat, he received first prize and a reserved golf cart parking spot with his name – at least until next year’s championship. A retiree from the housing construction business, Robert was born and raised in Mississippi and Louisiana and spent most of his adult life in northern Virginia. Here, in his own words, is more information about his golf game. How old were you when you played your first round of golf? When and where was it? I was in my mid-30s when I played at Fairfax National Golf Course in Centreville, VA in 1997. How did you develop your golfing skills to be what they are now? I pounded a lot of balls at the driving range. What other club championships or tournaments have you won? Gauntlet Golf Club in Fredericksburg, VA – Club Championship. Kastle Greens in Midland, VA – Club Championship. Windswept Dunes Golf Club in Freeport, FlL – Club Championship (twice). I also won multiple scramble tournaments in Virginia. Lake Ashton’s narrow fairways can be a challenge to new members. How did you adjust to them? I’m still adjusting! It’s not about how far you hit the ball; it’s about keeping the ball in play. 38 Sponsor salute — LAMGA thanks the following businesses and services for their support: Boyett Family Dentistry; Brad Kirwan, Realtor; Brewer Sales and Service; Brock’s Window Cleaning; Central Door Company; Chiroworks; Christine Graves Insurance, Inc.; Citizens Bank & Trust. MESSAGE FROM THE PRO SHOP By Kevin Baker, General Manager Happy 250th Anniversary, America! I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful summer here at Lake Ashton. Thank you to everyone who has participated in our three-part Orange Whip program. The response has been tremendous. Many golfers have improved their balance, consistency, and overall enjoyment of the game. Several participants have reported increased confidence on the course and are playing some of their best golf in years. Some residents may have stepped away from the game because of physical challenges or inconsistent play, and this program is designed to help golfers get back and enjoy the game again. The program focuses heavily on balance, flexibility, and proper movement patterns, which not only benefit your golf swing but can also help with everyday activities and overall wellness. With the Summer Golf Membership Program, residents receive unlimited golf and unlimited use of our practice facilities through September 30 for just $1,000. Anyone who joins the Summer Membership Program will receive a 50% credit ($500) that can be used for 2027’s membership fees. The continued success of Lake Ashton Golf Club is driven by the support of our residents. Club members play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the golf experience that makes our community so special. To learn more about these programs, please stop by the Pro Shop. Our team would be happy to answer any questions and find the right program for you. As always, my door is open, and I welcome any positive and constructive feedback. We look forward to seeing you around the club this summer.
