Cheryl Bloom aced the fifth hole at The Oaks Golf Club (Pass Christian, Miss.) on Jan. 10. Also on Jan. 10, Bobby McGuffie recorded his 13th hole-in-one with the latest being the seventh hole at Castlewoods Golf and Country Club in Brandon, Miss. McGuffie used an 8-iron from 165 yards for his third ace at Castlewoods. He has been playing for 13 years. David Burch aced the fourth hole at Pelican Point Golf Club (Gonzales, La.) on Jan. 10.The 154-yard shot was with a 7-iron. It was his third hole-in-one. Burch resides in Gonzales. On Jan. 6, Redfield Bryan (Baton Rouge, La.) aced the second hole at BREC’s Santa Maria Golf Course in Baton Rouge. He used a 6-hybrid from 145 yards while playing with Lew Ward, Larry Germany and George Harrison. Jordan Wright (Baton Rouge, La.) aced No. 11 at BREC’s Santa Maria Golf Course (Baton Rouge) on Jan. 3. The 8-iron shot from 145 yards out was witnessed by Jeff Fair, Ryan Kyle and Justin Hernandez. On Dec. 30, Billy Myand recorded a hole-in-one on No. 13 at Copper Mill Golf Club in Zachary, La. The 121-yard shot was with an 8-iron. Chad Robinson aced the eighth hole at Tamahka Trails Golf Club at Paragon Casino Resort (Marksville, La.) on Dec. 27.The 49-year-old Alexandria, La. resident used a 5-wood from 215 yards for the feat, which was witnessed by Mitch Owens. Scott Anderson recorded a hole-in-one on BREC’s Webb Memorial Golf Course (Baton Rouge, La.) on Dec. 26.The 95-yard shot was on No. 15 with a gap wedge.
