In this regard the Bible says that we who believe in Jesus Christ were in the like manner baptized into His death; meaning that we were buried with Him by baptism into death that as He was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, we also should walk in newness of life. When talking about this newness of life, we see that our old man [fleshly carnal first Adamic man] was crucified with Christ so that the body of sin might be destroyed and that we should no longer serve sin, as by our death to sin, we have been freed from sin; which means that death also has no dominion over you [us].
