EVENTS LINE DANCE PALOOZA! Brush up on those line dance moves (and don’t worry - they’re not just country!) for the first-ever Line Dance Palooza on September 27 at 7 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom! A DJ will be playing music along with all of the popular line dances, from the Electric Slide to the Boot Scootin’ Boogie and more. Bring your own snacks, cash bar available. Tickets are on sale for $10 online and at the Clubhouse Activities Office. JEWISH HIGH HOLIDAY SERVICES By David Harrison The Lake Ashton community is invited to attend the Jewish High Holiday services. Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) will be Wednesday, October 2 at 7 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement) will be Friday October 11 at 7 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Yizkor (Memorial Service) will also be Friday, following the Yom Kippur Service. All residents are encouraged to attend and find out why the New Year is celebrated in October. For more information contact David Harrison at 863-326-6418. SQUARE DANCE PARTY Grab your partner and do-si-do down to the Clubhouse for a Square Dance Party on October 10 at 7 pm! Resident callers Keith Stevens and Dave Muller will have you promenading and bending the line throughout the night. Snacks will be provided on the tables for you to grab a quick bite between dances. Tickets are on sale for $5 online and at the Clubhouse Activities Office. L.A. Unleashed “The Blessing of a Pet” creates a ritual that binds your pet and family together. We gather today in recognition of our attachment to all animals who share their lives with us to honor these loyal companions who love us unconditionally! Blessing Ceremonies for Pets will take place on October 9, officiated by Reverend Louise Stromberg. The event is free for all residents/pets, but we require a registration form that must be returned to the Clubhouse or HFC Activities Desk by Monday, September 30. Registrations will also be done online through a link to a Google form at a max of 20 animals per time/weight slot. Cameras and family welcomed! ALL Pets must be leashed or contained while in the park for the ceremony. Limit 20 animals per time slot, check in 15 min before time: 9 am: All crated/caged/contained pets and dogs 10 lbs or under 9:30 am: Dogs 15 - 25 lbs 10:15 am: Dogs 30 - 45 lbs 10:45 am: Dogs over 50 lbs If you will need help getting crate/cage into the dog park area, you will have priority car/cart parking by the front entrance gate to the Clubhouse Dog Park, where you will be assisted with the container at the 9 AM time slot. The four ceremonies will be approximately 15 min per session and seating will be available for participants. PETS ON PARADE By Carolyn Bishop The Second Annual Pets on Parade will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 10 am in the Clubhouse West Parking Lot (tennis court side). Preregistration starts October 1. Only pre-registered pets will receive a goodie bag. Stay tuned to media for more details.
