LA GARDEN CLUB By Pam Klawinski The Lake Ashton Garden Club returned to regular meetings in September with “Gene, The Barefoot Gardener” discussing plant options to replace plants that may have been lost or have never recovered following the winter freeze. He also shared information about planting this fall for spring. The next meeting is Wednesday, October 14 at 10 am in the Pavilion. Our speaker will be Barbara Blair, Volunteer Manager at Bok Tower Gardens, who will share information about volunteer opportunities at this National Historic Landmark. Bok Tower Gardens offers dynamic, engaging and enjoyable experiences for people of all ages, with focal points and activities throughout the Gardens that provide opportunities for leisurely strolls, enlightening moments and relaxing activities. Please join us to learn more about this beautiful place we are so fortunate to have right in our own backyard. All are welcome. No membership fees or green thumb needed!
