HOMELESS GRADUATING SENIORS By Doris Reisinger The Lake Ashton "WARRIORS" were out in full force for the Homeless Graduating Seniors of Polk County! With your generosity these deserving students have a chance to be successful in their adult life. We collected in total $10,835! This money will provide tablets, duffle bags with toiletries and domestic items for their summer. It also provided their graduation party on April 21 with a meal, door prizes and motivational speaker. But most of all, it will help provide scholarships. Residents also contributed 7 gift cards and 10 large bags of toiletries. Thanks to BOLLA, 140 hand sewn blankets were donated. Thank you for another great year of generosity! SHOE DRIVE ONGOING By Carolyn Neuberger Thank you to all who have supported our shoe drive. Because of you we have collected 1,750 pairs of shoes, sneakers, sandals etc. In order to reach our goal we only need another 725 pairs of shoes, sandals etc. Please don't stop now. We can do this! DEAR BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS By Lydia Fichtman The Lake Ashton Pink Ribbon Committee is creating a fundraising calendar (Calendar Girls Type). If you would like to be a part of the project please send me your name and email address. We will be putting together a photo at the entrance to the back gate by the Lake Ashton Sign. We would love to have as many survivors as possible in the photo.
