GOLF LALGA By Lydia Fichtman Happy New Year! Welcome to 2023 and another great year of golf! Congratulations to all members of the LALGA for their support of “We Care For Kids.” Nancy Zografos, the chair of the committee, noted that 160 toys were donated to the Lake Wales and Winter Haven community children. Thank you for your dedication to continuing to make this possible and to Nancy and her committee for all their tireless efforts. In January, she will be collecting for Hygiene Kits for “We Care for Kids.” Nancy and her committee will be making kits, for boys and girls, to be distributed in late January/early February. An email will be going out indicating what items are the most needed. Unfortunately, many of these young people are homeless and are in desperate need of hygiene products, so please consider donating. The Pink Ribbon committee would like to thank the following Diamond Sponsors for their support: Advent Health, AIS Shower Doors, Bond Clinic, Boyette Family Dentistry; Chinos Lawn Care Service, EGL Financial – Eric Larson; Eye Specialists of MidFlorida, Christine Graves Insurance, Griner’s Jewelers, Hill Nissan, Jaime’s Collision Center, Inc., MD Construction, New Look Lawn Service, Odom, Dr. James W. Odom, Parker & Co Lawn, Ridge Quality Motors, Smith Chiropractic, The Groutsmith, Veterinary Healthcare Assoc., Windebaum, Sasha Winderbaum, D.D.S., Weikert Ford, and Zinsmeister Insurance. If you are in need of any of the services they offer please support them. To date, the Red Hoagland Challenge leaders are “T” Utting - $128, Beverly Hines - $124.75; Kathy Ryan - $122.50 and Joanne McKinley - $108.25. Congratulations, ladies! See you on the course. Have a great month. 28
