2026 PRIMARY ELECTIONS The 2026 Primary Election will be held Tuesday, August 18. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Early Voting will be available at sites throughout the county August 8 through 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (not at Lake Ashton). Visit the Polk County Supervisor of Elections website at https://www.polkelections.gov to find a location and for additional information. The deadline to request a Vote-by-Mail ballot is August 6 at 5 p.m., and completed mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections by 7 p.m. on August 18. For Lake Ashton residents assigned to the Lake Ashton Clubhouse polling location, voting will take place in the Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on August 18. There will be no movies shown in the Cinema that day. Svarczkopf Seat #4: Kevin Marsh and Jonathan Ridpath A candidate forum will be held on October 5 in the Clubhouse Ballroom from 10:30 a.m. until approximately noon. Bruce Collina will moderate. Questions for candidates may be submitted in writing with the author’s name and address by placing them in a lockbox found in the Clubhouse Ballroom. The moderator will be in sole possession of the key for the lockbox. Questions are to be general in nature, meaning they are not to mention any candidate by name or intended to be directed to a particular candidate. The moderator will select questions to be asked from those appropriately submitted. Questions may be submitted between September 1 and September 18. Individuals requesting a mail-in ballot may do so at Vote By Mail by 5:00 pm prior to the 12th day before the election. Voting takes place on November 3. CELEBRATE AND CONGRATULATE MATT FISHER!
