Once I complete my degree, I would like to go into secondary school Physical Education teaching. I’m planning to undergo SCITT (School-Centred Initial Teacher Training) in order to gain appropriate qualifi cations and vital experience that will help me stand out from the crowd when applying for jobs. “ The experience of HE at Cambridge Regional College was tremendous. I did a Level 3 in Sport at CRC which I thoroughly enjoyed, so I knew the location, the tutors and it meant I wouldn’t have to leave home. Level 3 is the time you begin to plan the route you want to go down and which career you want to follow in sport. ” What did you like about studying at CRC? Small groups helped aid progression and I liked the familiarity with the tutors and understanding the subjects. It was very straightforward to progress on to the top-up degree. What was the biggest difference between studying at Level 3 and Levels 4 & 5? Being able to adapt and write in a different style and use references accurately and correctly were the most signifi cant challenges. Academic writing is crucial and the use of references was a big difference. Organisation is key when you’re doing an HND and the dissertation is vital.
