Missions & Star Words Change Jars In January, we collected for Hope House. They have seen an increased need because of the colder weather. Remember to bring your change February 5th. We will collect for Clearinghouse. School will start back this month and they will need extra support. In the fall semester, we made roughly 700 bags that were distributed to Bell, Beard, Carnall, and Cavanaugh Elementary schools. Star Words On the first day of the new year, we had worship. At this service, we introduced Star Words. We celebrated Epiphany. We remember the star that led the magi to Jesus. At communion, people were invited to take a star word (A star shaped paper with a word on it.) We believe that word is something is guided by the Holy Spirit. We will use this word to pray and see how we are led to Jesus this year. If you did not receive a star word and would like to, let us know.
