The EAGLE Amateur Tour has landed The EAGLE Amateur Tour doesn’t officially start until Feb. 13 with an event at The Bridges Golf Club (Bay St. Louis, Miss.), but the new tour had a two-person scramble on Jan. 30 at The National Golf Club of Louisiana in Westlake and has another one planned for Feb. 6 at LaTour Golf Club in Mathews, La. The EAGLE stands for Elite Amateur Golf with Levels for Everyone and has a Louisiana Senior Tour as well as regular divisions in Southwest Louisiana/Southeast Texas, Louisiana South and Mississippi. In the Jan. 30 event, Jason Katchur and Scott Moss won the gross division and Britt Guillory and Roger Glenn won the first net division.The team of Billy Lofton and Russell Wingate were second in the gross division. Greg Meche and Jason Faul were third in the gross division. Jack Koubi and Chaz Plat were second in the net division. Michael Walker and Nick Fontenot were third in the net division. There are three membership packages: Basic, Player and Ultimate.There is also a Secondary Membership ($50) for those Senior Players (50 or older) that want to play regular tour events as well.The Basic Membership Package is $70 and includes membership in the tour for 365 days, a Player Tour Card and a USGA Rule Book.The Player Membership gives you everything in the Basic Membership plus a logo scorecard holder, towel with logo and divot tool with logoed golf-ball marker.The Ultimate Package is $149 and includes everything from the first two packages plus a golf shirt, tumbler and two sleeves of golf balls all with the Eagle Amateur Tour logo.
