Why did my credit card payment fail?

Payments fail if our payment services provider was unable to charge your credit card on file for your Publizr account.

In most cases this means that your credit card is expired, card details are entered incorrectly, or your card is over its limit/funds are insufficient. Sometimes the bank can also put a hold on the card after some suspicious charges.

Please double check if your card is not expired and the billing information you provided matches the billing information on record with your bank.

1. Log in to your account.

2. Click on your display name at the top right-hand corner of the page and click on ACCOUNT & SETTINGS.

3. Click under ORGANIZATIONS on the account/organization for which you want to re-enter your credit card details.

4. Click on MY PLAN / UPGRADE.

5. Click on CHANGE CARD.

6. You will be redirected to Gate2Shop to enter your credit card details securely.

To ensure that your card can be charged successfully, it is important that the credit card details you provide matches the billing information on record with your bank.

The cardholder field should only contain the first and last name of the cardholder when possible. Omit middle initials, middle names, and business names (unless the business name is the sole name on the card).
The postal code field should only contain the first five digits if you are in the United States. Do not include any extensions.

noteIf necessary, call to the credit card provider (the phone number is usually on the back of your card). Often, this will resolve many of the issues that cause this error, including, unknown holds, credit limit issues, and transaction limits.
If your credit card provider cannot resolve the issue, submit payment using another card.
