Washington - 1,091,239 product deliveries Food orders are delivered to many agencies located at a distance from the Food Bank, helping them get more food and reduce transportation costs In 2018, we made 897 deliveries totaling food bank of the hudson valley 17,606,414 pounds. • 270 agencies served • 1,810 volunteers provided 8,224 hours of service in 2018 food sourcing • In 2018, a total of 27,362,490 pounds of food and grocery products were donated by 402 industry donors. • 1,709,903 pounds of fresh produce, dairy, and eggs were donated by 76 farmer/producer New York Farm Bureau members. • 18 new stores joined our Retail Store Donation Program, bringing the total to 224 stores from 17 retailers. • Nearly 14 million pounds of food - an increase of over 1.9 million pounds - was collected from retail stores by eight Food Bank drivers and 130 Retail Partner Agencies. Our program continues to be recognized as one of the top performing in the Feeding America network. • Food Drive donations totaled 172,164 pounds and $26,386.73. agency relations & education • 986 active programs, including food pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters; 28 new in 2018 • In any month, over 355,000 individuals were served by our member food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters • In-person visits conducted with 644 member agencies to ensure compliance with Food Bank policies and help build capacity to address clients’ needs • 60 workshops offered on topics such as nutrition, food safety, customer service, conflict resolution, and succession planning mass distributions Provide large quantities of nutritious food including produce, dairy products, and beverages to low-income people above and beyond what they receive from food pantries • 30 Mass Distribution sites • 350 distributions totaling 3,896,498 pounds
