TWILIGHT MAGIC Monideepa Sen. Jamshedpur, India. Behold the evening sky Streaked orange rose and pink The mellow sun is sinking low As twilight's on the brink. The birds are homeward bound Their day's sojourn is done I watch their weary wings flash by As earth and sky turn dun And now starlight does pierce The evening's curtain dark My mind drifts far away I hear strains of music... hark! I travel back in time To Akbar's rambling forts The red stones do reverberate As Tansen's voice exhorts His voice that lights the flame Does rent the evening mist I listen with such bated breath Lest any note be missed Handmaidens sprinkle flowers And light the chandeliers The horse guards canter up and down Their eyes so bold and fierce Their skirts swish to and fro Their nose rings flash and shimmer Their anklets tinkle so The setting sun paints pictures Of glorious days of yore I played the rudra veena At Tansen's side I'm sure UPAHAAR 2021 উপহার ১৪২৮ 40
