In other words, a virtuous woman will always side with the husband no matter how shameful it is rather than publicly mocking or openly criticizing him amidst others. h) Silence ECCLESIASTES 3:7 speaks of one of the ancient wisdoms understood by all virtuous women; a time to keep silence and a time to speak. This is the one principle ordinary women do not understand, hence have been found to speak where they ought to have been silent, or even silent where they ought to have spoken. i) Giving PROVERBS 31:20 says, “She opens her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her filled hands to the needy whether in body, mind, or spirit.” It is an essential characteristic for all virtuous women to be generous to the needy. This is the nature of their heart; to have compassion on God. PROVERBS 19:17 says, “He who has pity on the poor lends to the LORD, and that which he has given He will repay to him.” Page | 21
