CHAPTER THREE Before delving into the gist of this book, it is important to know that it is not late for one to subject themselves to the process that makes the virtuous woman of women. The Characteristics or qualities possessed by the Virtuous Woman. i. LOVE It is firstly important to appreciate the fact that Love is what makes the marriage. AMOS 3:3 asks a profound question saying, “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” Therefore without love, it will only be a matter of time. 1 PETER 4:8 says, “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” In other words, the pillar of Love is the substance through which every virtuous woman is made of. This kind of Love is the God kind, called AGAPE. It is multi-faceted and dimensioned just as elaborated by EPHESIANS 3:18 speaking of it having breadth and length and height and depth. Marriage does not make one what they are not already, in other words for two to become one flesh, there should be a place of breaking, flexibility and compromise whenever demanded.
