water on its top and bottom, bearing in mind that the Earth was a bottomless pit, therefore God spoke Land into existence having gathered water beneath Heaven into one place, He therefore called that Land Earth, and the water Ocean--so it is up to now. It should be noted that all this was being done to give form to the Earth created in verse 1, of which up to now the Sky and the Land still exist. After this we see that green seed-bearing plants, and fruit-bearing tree were also created to further give beauty to the Earth, man was also created and formed to tend everything created by God in Verse 2628.
