walking in [perpetual] sin, and unreconciled [not at peace] with God. In addition to that, since Moses was given the Law, it was name tagged to him as “The Law of Moses”; this means that he could choose to increase or add more to it [the Law], this means that the men of Old were loaded with a load they could not carry by themselves. This is why in the Old Testament, its people longed and waited for the Promised Messiah Jesus Christ to come, however on His coming, the Religious Leaders of His time believed that they could keep up to the Law, meaning that there was no need Jesus Christ to them.
