SINGLES CLUB By Sil Wells Sunday afternoons the Lake Ashton Singles play cards and other games in the Clubhouse ballroom from 2 to 4 pm. On the first Sunday of the month there is a business meeting, then an hour of playing cards or games. Weather permitting, there is a Singles Mingle at the Pavilion on the third Thursday of the month at 4 pm. Each attendee takes a small dish to share and their own drinks. Come join the fun and interesting singles. LADIES LUNCH BUNCH By Barb Staschke By popular demand, the September Ladies Lunch Bunch will dine at L’incontro Italian Restaurant on SR 60 East in Lake Wales on Wednesday, September 30 at 12:30 pm. We’re excited to kick off our first gathering of the season on Friday, September 25 at 6 pm at the HFC. We’ll be hosting a potluck dinner. Please bring a dish to share along with a serving utensil. Bring your own drinks. We’ll provide plates, silverware and napkins. After dinner, we’ll chat about ideas for upcoming events. Feel free to bring quarters for Left Right Center or bring along a favorite game to enjoy together. We know many folks are still away, but we hope to see a great turnout! Upcoming Dates October: Dinner out. Date and location TBD. November 20: Friendsgiving at the Clubhouse Ballroom. Last year’s event was a big success! December: TBD. Possibly a holiday movie in the theater. Wednesday, January 13: Murder Mystery Party at the Clubhouse Theme: Pirate Party. Come dressed in character! Registration begins before Thanksgiving.
