LA TRAVELERS By Carolyn Bishop LA GETAWAYS By Shelley Brodka The Lake Ashton Travelers, a chapter of the Family RV Association (FRVA), had a fun-filled Spring with camping adventures that took us to Lake Louisa State Park in April and Ocean Breeze RV Resort in May. Our April rally in the State Park was one of the highest attended rallies we have had with 25 RVs in participation. Lake Louisa SP offered a few interesting activities for our group. We had a Ranger led reptile presentation and a tram ride through the park. Some more adventurous campers also took a Segway tour on the park trails and a horseback ride along the paths! This is a lovely park just up the road in Clermont with so much to offer with its many lakes, trails, and activities. Our May rally took us in the opposite direction down to Jensen Beach and the upscale Ocean Breeze RV Resort. Here we enjoyed the Atlantic Ocean, a pristine pool, and many games and activities with friends. This Fall will take us to St Augustine in October and a new RV resort near Sebring in November. Holly from Small World Tours will be there to talk about our Lake Ashton 2026 Bus Trips. Dues for the Lake Ashton Getaways Membership are $10 if purchased at the Kickoff meeting with a check payable made out to Lake Ashton Getaways. Membership will allow you early access to information and booking future trips, a bit of savings and help us provide snacks at our regular meetings. After September 30, the Membership fee will increase to $12 a year. ALL Lake Ashton Residents are welcome and encouraged to participate in all Lake Ashton Getaways trips or events. You can sign up for membership and bus trips and take a flyer for the trips you are interested in that evening, so remember to bring your checkbook. Light snacks will be provided.
