We are pleased to announce two exciting fundraising events taking place this fall in our community with all proceeds benefiting Meals On Wheels of Polk County. Event #1 – Gift Card / Gift Basket Raffle October 14 – November 13. Featuring Gift cards from local restaurants, retail, entertainment and service establishments, gift baskets from several local merchants and beautiful, one-of-a-kind handmade items provided by talented clubs and individuals from right here in Lake Ashton. With over raffle 40 items to choose from, there is bound to be something for everyone – or for holiday gift giving. Watch the daily blasts to see where we will be selling tickets. Winning tickets will be drawn at 7 PM, Wednesday, November 13, you need not be present to win. Event #2 – World Kindness Day Dance November 13. See page 26 for details. The next “Third Thursday Second Chance” donation date is September 19. Drop off quality donations at either the south dressing room in the Clubhouse Ballroom or HFC. Acceptable donations include anything of quality in re-sellable condition except large furniture items (such as sofas and recliners) and no mattresses. All donations are greatly appreciated. ATTN.
