GOLF LA NINERS By Marti Schmidt The summer heat continues, but we are looking forward to Opening Day October 3. You should have received an email for the upcoming 2023-24 season. Cost stays the same at $30 for the year. EVERYONE must fill out a new form. Mail a check, payable to the LA Niners, along with the form or sign up in the Pro Shop. Mail the check and form to MaryLou Jameson, 5224 Pebble Beach Blvd., Winter Haven, FL 33884. Please note that if you are not going to be back in time for Opening Day, do not worry about paying until you get back here to Lake Ashton. Fun and games are on the menu – along with nine holes of golf and our opening luncheon. Final aerification of both courses will happen in September to get ready for the winter season and the return of our members from their fun adventures. Still have questions? Ready to join? We made it through the hot days and finally Florida seems to be getting back in the groove with rain in the afternoon. We are 100 members strong. Did you know if you are a Lake Ashton Golf Club Member and you do not belong to the LALGA you may play a two round maximum trial period without joining. You must have a 40 handicap or lower and will be required to tee off from the combo or blue tees. YOU DECIDE! We are always looking for new members and we will even assign you a mentor if you wish. Also follow us at LALGA through our Facebook page or LakeAshtonLiving.com. If you need more information, contact the pro-shop. We tee off every Tuesday at 9am with a variety of games.
