WATERCOLOR WORKSHOPS Artist Freddie Combs returns to Lake Ashton for the 2024 season. She will present three day-long watercolor workshops in the new year. Subject matter will be still life, florals and structures. Sessions are January 12, February 9, and March 9 from 9 am to 3 pm in the HFC with a break for a sack lunch. Students will create 2 watercolor paintings per session. Price per session is $50. All students should contact the artist at 864-307-1244 to reserve a place. BOB ROSS OIL PAINTING Instructor: Kay Lenherr September 9 at 1 pm Clubhouse Craft Room Geraniums $35 (payable at class) Sign up online or at the Clubhouse Activities Office by noon on September 8. BRUSHES AND BEVERAGES Create a delightful wall painting, handpainted by you! For $35, each painter will be receiving step-by-step instructions to create a 16x20 canvas painting and will be supplied with a 16x20 canvas, acrylic paints, and brushes. This event will take place on September 8 at 3 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Sign up at the Clubhouse Activities Office with a check by September 5 to reserve your spot. You won’t want to miss this; a maximum of 30 people can sign up but a minimum of 10 people is needed! CRAFTING WITH CARMEN — RUSTIC WREATHS Make your own 10-inch rustic wreath on September 29 at 11:30 am in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Learn how to quickstain and distress wood for a rustic look. All supplies and instructions are included for $12. Sign up by September 26 online or at the Clubhouse Activities Office. 30 SEASONAL FLORAL FRAMES Join resident crafter and floral enthusiast Pam Klawinski October 3 at 11:30 am to make your very own unique seasonal décor! Learn to arrange seasonal colored florals on an 8x10 picture frame that will be interchangeable for every season and holiday! This month’s class will be fall, covering both Halloween and Thanksgiving. If you participated in the last class and received a frame, be sure to bring that frame back to the class. All instructions and materials will be provided for $16. Sign up by September 27 online or at the Clubhouse Activities Office. Next Class: December 5 FUSED GLASS WIND CHIMES September 13, 6 to 9 pm & September 20, 6 to 8 pm (optional class) at the Health & Fitness Center Craft Room. The first week you will create your glass wind chimes, and the following week you will be assembling your wind chimes with fish line & beads (optional). Cost is $35. FUSED GLASS VOTIVE HOLDER September 22 from 10 am to 1 pm at the Clubhouse Craft Room. Decorate a 3” x 5” piece of glass with a design of your choice. Samples will be provided or bring your own (simple is better!) Cost $25 for one and $35 for 2, to be paid at class with cash or check.
