MIND&BODY FREE HEARING SCREENINGS The Central Florida Speech and Hearing Center will be facilitating free hearing screenings on Wednesday, October 14 from 10 am to 2 pm in the Clubhouse Parking Lot. No appointment needed; bring valid photo ID. Annual hearing screenings are strongly recommended for adults aged 60 and older because hearing health impacts far more than just your ears. Untreated hearing loss can affect overall quality of life, increasing healthcare costs by 46% and raising the risk of dementia, depression, social isolation, and even accidental falls (where even mild hearing loss triples the risk). Hearing well is essential for cognitive function and staying connected with friends and family, so be sure to take advantage of this quick, convenient wellness check! PROTECT YOURSELVES ! Walgreens will offer flu shots for those 65 and older, as well as shingles, COVID-19, Pneumococcal and other vaccinations, at the Clubhouse on October 12 and November 9.
