LAVA AUXILIARY ANNUAL CRAFT FAIR & BAKE SALE By Lori Thomas The Lake Ashton Veterans Association Auxiliary is hosting its highly anticipated Annual Craft Fair on Saturday, October 24, from 9 am to 2 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. This community event 26 combines early holiday shopping with a meaningful cause, as all proceeds will be donated to Soldiers’ Freedom: Healing Hidden Wounds of War. With the holidays right around the corner, the fair offers a great opportunity to purchase unique gifts in advance. The Clubhouse Ballroom will feature 50 local vendors showcasing a wide array of highquality, handmade goods. In addition to the crafts, attendees can look forward to a bake sale featuring a delicious selection of homemade treats made by Lake Ashton residents. Donations of homemade baked goods are needed to help fill the tables. Items should be individually wrapped and clearly identified if they contain nuts. Donations can be dropped off at the Clubhouse on Friday, October 23, from 12 to 4 pm. Debbie Platt is the point of contact for this effort. Visitors will also have the chance to win a grand prize package of $100 in Florida Lottery scratch-off tickets. Raffle tickets are 13 for $5, and winners do not need to be present at the time of the drawing to claim their prize. Bake sale proceeds will benefit military veterans.
