GOLF LAMGA By David Kubissa The homestretch of the LAMGA year begins this month with two special events as the league heads into a busy last quarter of 2025. Here is how the agenda is shaping up month by month: October: The LAMGA Red Hoagland Cup event will be Oct. 15 and 16 – a Wednesday and Thursday – with lunch on the second day. Cost is $20 per player to defray costs, including prizes. On Oct. 28 and 29, the joint LAMGA / LALGA event, known as Shirts and Skirts, will take place. The cost of $25 per player covers lunch on the second day and prize payouts. November: Annual board elections take place with three of the six board seats at stake. Nomination forms will go out in early November. December: The annual LAMGA meeting and lunch will be December 3 after that day’s weekly LAMGA game. All LAMGA members in good standing are invited. A luncheon signup sheet for members not playing that day will be posted on the LAMGA bulletin board. Looking ahead to 2026, the board approved retaining annual LAMGA dues at $35. The board also settled on the dates for the 2026 MemberGuest Tournament as March 5, 6 and 7. LAMGA members should be on the lookout for emailed applications for both annual membership and the Member-Guest Tournament. If you are new to Lake Ashton and want to learn more about the men’s league, go to the LAMGA web page on lakeashtonliving.com. The LAMGA site is listed under “Community.” Sponsor salute: Thanks to the following businesses and groups for supporting LAMGA: Brock Window Cleaning; Enriquez’s Lawn & Landscaping Service; Country Boy Pest Control; Massey Services; New Look Lawn Service; Parker & Co.
