HOURS OF OPERATION CLUBHOUSE: 6 am – 10 pm daily CLUBHOUSE OFFICES & ACTIVITIES DESK: 9 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday Photo ID Hours: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Noon to 3 pm or by appointment HEALTH & FITNESS CENTER: 5:30 am – 10 pm daily HFC OFFICES & ACTIVITIES DESK: 8 am – 4 pm Monday through Friday COLLECTIONS AT MONDAY COFFEES Bite Me Monday (second Monday) is the collection of donations such as old towels, toys, pet food and supplies for the Polk County Humane Society. Shout out to Mary Dornhecker for taking monthly trips to the Polk County Humane Society to drop off donations! Peanut Butter Monday (third Monday) is the monthly collection of non-perishable items, to be donated to a local non-profit. This month the items collected will be donated to Victory Ridge Academy, a local nonprofit organization and member of the Polk County Public/Charter Schools, where children with special needs overcome daily challenges and enjoy success in learning and living. The following items are needed: Gallon baggies, fruit cups, cereal bars, small individual cereal boxes, macaroni cups or small boxes, ravioli, spaghetti-o’s, etc., crackers, juice boxes, pudding cups, macaroni in micro cups. All 5 NEXT MONTHLY MARKET: October 11 from 10 am to 2 pm Clubhouse West Parking Lot BAXTER’ S QUAL ITY MEATS Clubhouse West Parking Lot Wednesdays from 10 am to 2 pm BOOKMOBILE October 11 and 25, 9:30 am to 4:30 pm (closed for lunch 12:30 to 1:15), Clubhouse West Parking Lot cans should have a pull top. Victory Ridge Academy was near and dear to Shirley Goldstein's heart, a resident (and Victory Ridge Board Member) who passed away this year. She would expect this collection effort to continue and staff is happy to do so. Please be sure to drop off all donations on October 16 by 2 pm. HEA LTH SCREENIN GS & MORE OCTOBER 9 Staff is working hard to try and bring basic health services to you, in your community! Now health services are just a golf cart ride away. On October 9 there will be several healthcare vendors at Monday Coffee. Central Florida Healthcare will be onsite offering FREE oral cancer screenings, blood pressure checks, and BMI reviews in the Ballroom, in addition to FREE biometric scans in their mobile unit that will be parked in the west parking lot. Future dates will be booked which will offer a wider variety of medical and dental services in their mobile unit. Be sure to speak to a representative on October 9 to see if they accept your insurance. Additionally, 3D Mobile Mammography will be at Monday Coffee on October 9 to discuss their mobile mammography bus services. Residents will be able to schedule appointments for an event at Lake Ashton in November. Visit 3dmobilemammography.com for more information.
