Walgreens will offer flu shots for those 65 and older, as well as shingles, COVID-19, Pneumococcal and other vaccinations, at the Clubhouse on November 9. GO TEAL FOR ALZHEIMER’S November is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, a time to increase understanding of Alzheimer’s disease and show support for the more than 6.2 million Americans living with it. The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America encourages everyone to “Go Teal” by wearing teal, sharing information and helping raise awareness. Teal is AFA’s awareness color and represents a welcoming, comforting environment for those affected by Alzheimer’s. November is also a good time to prioritize brain health and learn about available resources. AFA offers free, confidential virtual memory screenings and a national helpline staffed by licensed social workers trained in dementia care. Learn more at alzfdn.org. MEN’S FRIDAY BIBLE STUDY Join us Friday mornings from 8 am to 9 am in the Clubhouse Card Room for a men’s Bible study. Make new friends and study God’s Word. It’s also an opportunity to learn from and about each other in the Lake Ashton community. The group will meet each Wednesday evening for approximately one hour to explore a variety of Bible topics, discover what the Scriptures teach, ask questions, and grow in understanding of God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Whether you have studied the Bible for many years or are simply interested in learning more, everyone is welcome. The Bible study will be led by Calvin Eakins, Church Elder, Bible Teacher and Speaker. Bring your Bible, bring your questions, and come study with us!
