LA PICKLEBALL By Larry Fabian LAPA would like to thank all the members that have shown up to help with the wind screens at the tennis/ pickleball courts in the wake of hurricane Milton. Members are reminded to mark your calendars for our annual meeting that will be held on November 22nd at 6pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. LAPA encourages all members to attend this meeting and participate in the election of officers and receive updates on club activities, fundraising, and the court expansion project. Pickleball continues to be the fastest growing sport in United States for the 3rd year in a row! Members are encouraged to update and renew 2025 memberships using the forms and drop box located on the HFC information wall. The support for the fundraising to benefit the pickleball court expansion has been phenomenal! Thank you. LA SWIM CLUB By Sandy White Welcome new member Michele Cave. She has already started working on improving her stroke efficiency and studying competitive swimming rules to help meet a long-range goal of competing with other club members in Senior Games swim meets. Others are welcome to join us also. The swim club is open to anyone who can swim and would like to improve their swimming and fitness, aim for competition, or both. The club has the indoor pool at the HFC reserved on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 2 pm, and Saturdays from 10 to 11 am. Come swim with us. WAY TO GO … our Club has once again co-sponsored a hole during the LA Breast Cancer Awareness Golf Tournament. We will miss Sharron Swanson, who is moving closer to some of her children.
