Our next meeting will be Wednesday, November 13th at 10 am in the Pavilion. Sil Wells will be leading an Autumn theme for us to continue to enjoy our garden flowers by decorating using dried flowers. The club will be providing dried flowers and bookmarks for your displays. Attendees may also bring their own dried flowers that they had prepared for the October meeting, along with any picture frames and candles that you may wish to decorate. You need not be a member to attend. Come join in on making your own creations to take home! GENEALOGY CLUB By Jane Imparl Our next genealogy meeting will be Wednesday, November 13 at 2 pm in the HFC Craft Room. Come join the companionship of your neighbors as we delve into DNA and how it can be used in genealogy. Questions? Call Jane at 815-545-6655. SINGLES CLUB By Carol Corley Lake Ashton’s Singles Club is an open and welcoming organization. We meet once a month, usually the first Sunday of each month at 2 p.m. in the Clubhouse Ballroom. All other Sundays we meet same time same place for some fun games of Five Crown — easy to learn. After the event, we all usually go somewhere for dinner. When we aren’t meeting, the club members get together for an occasional dinner out, or go together to some activities, like Theatre Winter Haven plays. Once a month we have a Thursday afternoon gathering in the Pavilion, weather cooperating. You would be most welcome to join us.
