L.A. LOOKS LA (LW) HOA CORNER By Brenda Jackson Call for Volunteers for Board of Directors and Committee Members Members: As we approach the end of the year and our Annual Membership Meeting, we seek additional residents to join our Board of Directors. We currently have one open seat immediately due to a resignation and another seat whose term is set to expire in February 2025.This presents a valuable opportunity for community members to actively participate in shaping the future of our neighborhood and to ensure that our community remains the "paradise" we all cherish. We are specifically looking for the following volunteers: 1. Nominating Committee Chair: This individual will play a crucial role in assisting potential Board candidates with the nomination process and will facilitate the presentation of their qualifications to both the Board and the membership. 2. Board Volunteers: We have two seats available: one for a three-year term and one to complete the term of the resigning director, expiring in 2027. Please do not be concerned if you lack prior Board experience; we are here to support you. What we value most are logical thinkers, individuals with fresh ideas, a willingness to learn about our community, and a genuine desire to assist fellow residents in maintaining Lake Ashton as an exceptional community. If you are interested in either of these or would like to learn more, contact Brenda Jackson at admin@lakeashtonhoa.org. We will send you necessary forms and information to assist you and will inform the Board of your interest. If you would rather take it slow while learning more about LA and the HOA, you may want to consider joining our ARC Committee. As a member, you can assist in approving neighbor requests to enhance the exterior of their homes. To learn more about ARC or to volunteer, contact ARC Chair Mike Wilson at arc@lakeashtonhoa.org or ARC Director Harold Jackson at vp2@lakeashtonhoa.org 22 If you have a keen eye for detail, you might be interested in joining the Compliance Committee to help fellow members understand our governing documents and find ways to make exterior enhancements while remaining compliant. To learn more about compliance or volunteer, contact Compliance Director Dee Mayne at compliance@lakeashtonhoa.org. You may also call 863.325.0065 and choose the appropriate option to reach the right party. We all share the desire to see LA thrive and maintain the standards that attracted us to live here. Join us in being an active participant in driving change and improvements, all while meeting neighbors and enjoying being an integral part of our community. Thank you for considering this opportunity to serve our community.
