Here are a few opportunities to celebrate the upcoming holidays and give back to the communities surrounding Lake Ashton NOVEMBER FOOD DRI VE - NOVEMBER 1 - 1 5 Food donations for the Winter Haven Mission and Lake Wales Care Center will be collected from November 1 - 15. Drop off donations to the Clubhouse Ballroom Kitchen, Monday - Friday from 9 am - noon. Let's help our surrounding neighbors in need this holiday season. CARING TREE By Larry & Joanne Hillock It's time to think of the families in our area that need help to provide a happy holiday for their families. Early this month the Caring Tree will be in the Clubhouse Ballroom loaded with gift tags. These tags are suggestions for gifts that will be given to deserving families in partnership with the Lake Wales Care Center. The gifts must be new and unwrapped. We will collect the gifts and deliver them to the Care Center's distribution center. Parents will select a gift for their family and volunteers will help them with wrapping. Lake Ashton has been a strong supporter of this very worthwhile activity for over 15 years and we 7 There is so much to be thankful for and so many blessings to count! Don't forget to support Team Sam by attending the Walk to End Alzheimer's on November 17 at 9 am. Meet in the Clubhouse West Parking Lot by 8:45 am. Contact Judy Puntureri at 863.214.6647 to sign up. You can also give a monetary donation to the Walk to End Alzheimer’s donation box, in the Clubhouse Activities Office the entire month. Make checks payable to Alzheimer’s Association. LAKE ASHTON SUPPORTS TOYS FOR TOTS By Fred Halde Thank you, Lake Ashton. Since I have taken over responsibility for the pickup and delivery of the Tots for Toys box here, you have never failed to come through. Lake Ashton is one of the prime locations for the collection of toys for this community outreach. There will again be a Toys for Tots box in the HFC from the early part of November thru mid December. I hope you will again express your love for children and support for families by giving generously. Thanks again Lake Ashton, for always being there for others!
