BLUE MAN GROUP By William Bothwell The Blue Man Group is one of four major golf leagues at Lake Ashton. The league plays Wednesday mornings and welcomes Lake Ashton golfers of all ages and abilities. Blue Man Group offers relaxed, friendly organized golf and is governed within USGA and local rules. Each week members compete in a variety of individual or team games crafted to be both competitive and enjoyable. Golfers in the group tee off from blue tees, hence the group’s name. Super senior members can opt to tee off from designated forward tees. Blue Man Group has NO membership fees and welcomes Lake Ashton members, week to week. There is a nominal charge each week to cover a modest prize pool. Membership in The Blue Man Group gives golfers access to all Lake Ashton Club sponsored tournaments, which are flighted and handicapped as well as the very popular mixed tournament, with the group’s sister league, The Niners.
