HOMELESS GRADUATING SENIORS By Doris Reisinger Pictured are members of BOLLA who will contribute the blankets for the seniors duffel bags. Left to right Doris Reisinger, Linda Warden, Barb Aull and Becky Meader. Thank you so much! On February 9 Ben Ruch from Polk County Schools and head of the Hearth Program reminded us of the great needs of these students. How they are succeeding in their life against all odds. Their biggest wish is to continue on to college. Hopefully we will collect, as in the past, to help award five scholarships. Any amount you can contribute helps. The total cost of the duffel bag and contents is $130. We are also collecting items such as gift cards, sheets, towels, tooth brushes and paste, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, sewing kits. Any contributions can be left at either Activities Desk, or contact 217-652-6636 to arrange pickup. SHOE DRIVE By Carolyn Neuberger Have you cleaned out your closet lately? Those shoes that have been sitting there unworn, actually have value! We're collecting gently worn, used and new shoes and we need your help. We're looking for all types of shoes: sneakers, boots, dress shoes, sandals, athletic and casual shoes & children's shoes. Every pair you donate to our fundraiser helps us get closer to our goal! The shoes collected from the fund raisers become an economic lifeline for micro-entrepreneurs in developing nations. They sell the shoes you gather which promotes commerce opportunities and leads to economic sustainability in places that need it most! Reach out to your friends & neighbors and let them know about our fundraiser. Contact Carolyn at 516-317-0120 with any questions. 10 Y TEKO WARRANTY * x staed Ldig the Idy i L s h 8 h Q y 15 C M L s 0 G E 8 Y Y LITHIUM BATTERY 0 c , F t C : 86339531 $2200*
