Try out a new outdoor activity if you haven't already. There are many outdoor activities available such as Bocce, shuffleboard, outdoor life-size chess, horseshoes, corn hole, tennis, and pickleball. There are also plenty of indoor activities and fitness classes available to residents as well — be sure to check the calendar inserts and the Mind and Body section for dates and times of classes. While the community is at peak population, be aware of extra vehicles, golf carts, and pedestrians on the roads. Road safety is important for all drivers of vehicles including golf carts. Please remember the speed limit throughout the community is 20 mph. With an increase in visitors coming to Lake Ashton during this time of year caution should be used when entering and exiting the community. Please be mindful of the stop sign when entering via the resident gate. This is to ensure a safe speed when entering the community. Under no circumstance should residents access the visitor lane with their gate opener unless the resident side is inoperable. The safety of our Security Guards and all others accessing the gate is of utmost importance. This creates an unsafe environment for everyone. The Board of Supervisors meeting was held on February 27 in the Clubhouse Ballroom. A wrap up of actions taken was sent out via email on February 28. CDD WEBSITE INFORMATION The joint amenity policy is now posted on lakeashtoncdd.com (below right QR code) and lakeashton2cdd.com (below left QR code) for residents to view. To navigate easily to these websites, point your smartphone’s camera at the codes and follow the link. Also on each website residents can find the scheduled joint meetings, regular board meeting dates for LACDD and LAIICDD, agendas, meeting minutes, Supervisor contact information and other documents relevant to each CDD. There is also an option to sign up to receive blast emails from the Clubhouse and HFC, Eagle’s Nest, and Pro Shop.
