2022 BOCCE BALL COMMUNITY PLAY Meet on the Bocce Courts Wednesdays at 10:30 am for Community Play. The mornings are for anyone who wants a few hours of good times, lots of Bocce and help improving your game. There will be league players there for guidance. If this is your first time playing at Lake Ashton, please call Linda and Carl Boast at 540-297-7336 for an introductory lesson. Leave a message if there is no answer. LA GARDEN CLUB By Lynn Davis The Lake Ashton Garden Club met February 9 and discussed numerous upcoming projects. Many members provided insightful suggestions on making the HFC pool area more inviting. The Garden Club was approached by individuals who frequent the pool and asked for help. Club members voted supporting this project. Members who were interested signed up to help either implement or maintain the plantings. The interested group members will be called and hopefully it can be started soon. Also, continual discussion continues for updating plants around the pavilion at the Clubhouse. After the meeting agenda, members learned to use succulents and air plants to create a lasting visual accent in any potted plant. Laminated bookmarks were returned to members from the January meeting. The Club's next meeting is March 9 at 10 am in the Pavilion. Hopefully, it'll be time spent to finalize or implement plants for the HFC pool area and other upcoming projects. New members are always welcomed. National Gardening Day is on April 14 this year. Please come join in on celebration at the Pavilion from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. It's free and no green thumbs needed! GENEOLOGY CLUB By Jane Imparl Come join the Genealogy Club to find your ancestors and enjoy the company of some of your LA neighbors who have this similar interest. The 33 next meeting is March 9 at 2 pm in the HFC Craft Room. Bring your questions, ancestor stories and digital devices if you’d like. For more information, call Jane at 815-545-6655.
