LAVA AUXILIARY By Chris Graves You’re Invited to the Next Meeting: Wednesday, January 15 at 6:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse Ballroom near the stage. Retired Navy Captain Robert Buehn will be accepting a check for $5,000 on behalf of Operations New Uniform (ONU) and will share more about this Veteran nonprofit organization’s mission. Operation New Uniform empowers service members, veterans, and military spouses to successfully transition from military life to purposeful, stable careers. The LAVA Auxiliary welcomes any resident who has a love for our country. You do NOT need to have served in the Military or have had a family member who served in the military. Members of the Auxiliary support the military and honor veterans through fund raising, sending hand-written holiday cards as well donations to the Girl Scouts so that cookies can be donated to active military and more. SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, October 25 will be this year’s Annual Craft Show. We already have 22 vendors that have reserved a table/s. Maximum number of vendors is 44. You can pick up your vendor application at the front desk at the Clubhouse. God Bless America!
