LAKE ASHTON FINE ARTS & PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW Calling all Lake Ashton Artists and Photographers! The 15th Annual Lake Ashton Fine Arts & Photography Show will take place on March 11 in the Clubhouse Ballroom. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors there is no fee to enter your art and photography work. The show is open to all Lake Ashton residents, attendance is free and refreshments will be provided. Applications will be available in early January at the Clubhouse Activities Desk along with detailed instructions. There will be a general informational meeting on Saturday, January 28. The deadline for applications is February 3. There are so many talented residents here, so this should be a great show! LAKE ASHTON COMMUNITY SHOWCASE IS COMING! The 2023 Showcase is approaching quickly. Opening Night is March 24 at 7:30 pm. The Saturday Matinee is March 25 at 1:30 pm, which includes extended intermission for mobility needs as well as sign language interpreters. Closing night is March 25 at 7:30 pm. You will see the efforts of a large cast and crew of your friends and neighbors, some returning talent and some talent new to the community, an amazing compilation! Ticket sales will start February 21 at 8 am in the Ballroom area. See you there! FIRE OF GEORGIA MARCH 28 Dive into the enchanting world of dance, through a variety of folk performances representing the different aspects of Georgian life on March 28 at 5 pm. The program integrates both traditional and modern dances from various regions of the country. For decades, audiences around the world have been mesmerized by the dexterity, acrobatics, stunts grace and skill effortlessly executed by these performers. With exciting and varied choreography, this new program combines perfectly synchronized movements of the troupe, with the stunning romanticism of courting couples who float gracefully across the stage. LA TRIVIA By David Fix Join in for Trivia at the Clubhouse Sundays from 7 to 9 pm in the Ballroom (no trivia January 1). Hopefully this will be a Resident to Resident evening of fun to be held on a weekly basis. Maximum number of players per team is eight. Individuals are encouraged to come and join an open table. Cost is $1 per person to play with all money returned to the top three teams. Three rounds of 10 questions will be played along with one final bonus question.
