AUGUSTINE OR BUST By Carolyn Bishop T h e L a k e A s h t o n Tr a v e l e r s invaded St. Augu s t i ne t h i s p a s t Novembe r with one of the biggest rallies this FMCA Chapter has ever had with 27 RVs taking over the Ocean Grove RV Resort in Saint Augustine. A private trolley tour around historic St Augustine was one of the highlights of the trip. As always, good food and great friendships were shared at the rally. LA DEMOCRATIC CLUB By Shelley Miller The Lake Ashton Democratic Club is holding their next monthly meeting December 1 in-person at the HFC. Social time with snacks will be from 4 to 4:30 pm. SINGLES CLUB By Maureen Ziegler LA Singles is a social group that plans activities for single residents. The group meets monthly on the first Sunday of the month at 2 pm in the Clubhouse Ballroom. In November, the group discussed the fun Halloween Party hosted by Greg (pictured above). Plans were discussed for Thanksgiving dinner at the Lake Wales Country Club, a lunch at Jacaranda in January and lunch at Grillsmith in Lakeland in December. The Single Mingle held on the third Thursday of the month will be held in the Pavilion. Funds were collected for the Christmas gifts for 12 Senior Orphans. The gifts should be wrapped and brought to the December meeting. If you would like to take part in activities with other singles, attend the meeting on December 4.
