LA NINERS By Diane Struble November 2021 was a whirlwind of fun activities for the Niners. November 3rd was the second week of the fall drive for the senior orphans of Polk County - manageable size cleaning supplies were requested. Bev Cornelius was very grateful for the support and a huge THANK YOU for all who participated. In the spring there will be the opportunity once again to help senior orphans. What a great way to lend a helping hand to those who have an income of less than $800 per month. The Niners also participated in the Nightmare on the Lake Haunted House. Everyone who came through had lots of laughs, a few scares, and plenty of candy. The Pink Ribbon Tournament on November 9 gave 250+ golfers a fun day of golf, fellowship and memories with all proceeds going to the Watson Clinic in Lakeland. The Niners had nearly two-thirds of the members participate in the event. The holiday luncheon is December 7 — old fashioned food, fellowship, and a few surprises is a great way to start your holiday season. Anyone interested in joining the Niners can call Karen at 207-451-0143.
