MIND&BODY AUGUST IS NATIONAL WELLNESS MONTH August is National Wellness Month, a great reminder to focus on simple habits that support our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Wellness doesn’t have to mean making major changes. Small choices made each day can have a big impact on how we feel. Celebrate National Wellness Month by finding a few simple ways to prioritize yourself. Move your body by taking a walk, stretching or trying a new activity. Fuel yourself well with nutritious foods and plenty of water. Remember to take care of your mind, too. Reading, practicing mindfulness, meditating or simply setting aside some quiet time to relax can all contribute to your overall well-being. Staying connected is another important part of a healthy lifestyle. Spend quality time with family, friends and neighbors, participate in a favorite activity or make an effort to meet someone new. And don’t forget to make time for yourself by enjoying hobbies, getting enough rest and doing things that bring you happiness. This August, consider choosing one or two small wellness goals and making them part of your routine. Small steps can make a big impact, and healthy choices today can lead to a better tomorrow!
