EVENTS A NOTE FROM CDD STAFF We all are feeling the effects of the current economy and CDD Staff is working hard on residents’ behalf to bring affordable classes and entertainment to the community that won’t break the bank. It is getting increasingly difficult to find bands under $1,000 these days. When Staff plans for the larger monthly events, the budget is started by accounting for 100 people purchasing tickets. That number is decided upon to make things easier to divvy up the cost of the event to finalize the ticket price. There are different monetary factors that are part of each single ticket price. If there is an event that includes dinner, the price needs to be determined per person. If linen tablecloths are used, the price of laundering each cloth ($8), comes into play. Then the price of the entertainment needs to be factored in and décor needs to be decided upon, potentially adding to the cost as well. Usually, Staff tries repurpose décor from other events to keep this cost low. All of these factors are calculated to help decide on the final ticket price. We appreciate your understanding.
