Garrett has a wide range of computer skills. He can create websites, is proficient in coding in HTML and CSS, and manipulating graphics and images using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. He has served as a website designer and web master for multiple local businesses. As a hobby, Garrett restores and upgrades old computers. He recently took obsolete computers and upgraded them with new operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows, Linux) for several residents of Lake Ashton. Garrett is a lifelong Disney fan with a large collection of Disney memorabilia. He will be generously displaying his Disney toy collection in the Lake Ashton Clubhouse Card Room, from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26. Stop by between the hours of 10:30 am and 1:30 pm, and then 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, to view his collection. Garrett has many Disney toys that are no longer available and are highly collectible. His favorite part of the entire collection is Main Street USA. The display will include a motorized miniature monorail, cast member exclusive merchandise, pressed pennies from Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and even original bricks from Walt Disney’s first cartoon studio dating back to 1922! The display will be free to all Lake Ashton residents and their guests. Garrett intends to donate his collection to a museum somewhere in Central Florida. He said, "I was blessed with all these toys as a kid and I'd rather keep it in a group for people to see, rather than sell it all and separate it to different people". He enjoys going to local events, visiting Florida amusement parks and playing Nintendo games. He is a member of Bok Tower Gardens and enjoys “the beauty of it all”. His autism has never deterred him from being the amazing man he is. In fact, he is another reason why Lake Ashton is "Simply the Best". 15
