Life was going as planned and was good… Then, during the final game of his high-school season, Dominic suffered a broken (dominant) hand while sliding into home plate. While his team achieved 3rd place in the State Tournament (yay!), Dominic came home in despair. He was going to be out for 12+ weeks and miss the opportunity to play in front of interested college coaches that would help him secure his scholarship as planned. After a brief trip through the valley of despair, Dominic started turning his lemon into lemonade. He started going fishing every day, his favorite non-baseball hobby that he never had time for because he was always playing and traveling for baseball. He hung out with friends he hadn’t had time for and was able to go to summer camp with his cousins, activities he normally would have had to pass on to play baseball instead.
