The county ethics commission is authorized to establish rules and regulations for the conduct of its activities consistent with this code of ethics. A county ethics commission consisting of 12 members and a chairman shall be appointed to two year terms by the county mayor with confirmation by the board of county commissioners. The membership of the county ethics commission shall consist of not less than six licensed attorneys or persons with a Juris Doctor degree of which three shall be former judges of a court of record or general sessions court, in addition to seven members from the broader community.
