Dholera Smart City Project in a Glance Dholera SIR the upcoming boom in the real estate sector is getting developed and property prices at Dholera smart city are increasing with each passing day. There are many factors that are creating hype about Dholera smart city which mainly includes the size of the smart city and its big projects of Dholera International airport and Dholera metro train. Here is a quick go through about these two projects. Dholera International Airport: In the near future, Gujarat will have two international airports, the one at Ahmedabad and the other which is under construction at Dholera. To achieve the standards of a self-sustainable city, Dholera international airport has been approved by the authorities. The airport at Dholera SIR will be the biggest cargo international airport in Asia. Strategically, the airport is located 20 km from Dholera and 80 km from Ahmedabad to meet the needs of both cities. The airport will spread on an area of about 1700 hectares, in the villages of Paccham, Pipli, and Valinda. The government is interested in completing this project as soon as possible to start the international activities at Dholera SIR. The airport will have the capacity to accommodate twelve hundred national and international passengers at the same time. The airport will have two runways integrated with all the worldclass facilities and infrastructure.
