Even when one returns home looking like a drowned rat, there?s something deeply refreshing and satisfying about working in the outdoors? especially when one comes home with a basket of fruit to show for it. Not that I get to keep these gooseberries! They belong to The Porch(which Sr Frances wrote about last issue), and are among the first fruits to be harvested from their allotments this year.
