VICTORIA The Confident Girls Program, delivered in partnersh with Netball Victoria, supported multicultural fema students across Victoria, providing a fun, inclusive accessible introduction to netball for those with lim to organised sport due to financial, cultural or awa Term 2: 81 students from Melbourne’s western gr (including Garrang Wilam, St Albans Heights, an y ) participated, culminating in a Gala Day at Brimbank Leisure Centre. Term 3: 71 students from Brandon Park and Clayton North Primary Schools joined, with a Gala Day at Waverley Night Netball Association. Term 4: 70 students from Epping Views, Lalor North, and Lalor East Primary Schools participated, concluding with a Gala Day at Mill Park Basketball Stadium. Confident Girls School Championships In 2025, the program launched its first School Championships at the State Netball Centre. Six teams participated, with Lyndale Greens A securing the championship after an 8–3 win over St Albans Heights. The program provided meaningful engagement for over 220 multicultural female students, supporting confidence, social connection, and pathways into their local netball community. The Gala Days and School Championships created additional opportunities for ongoing participation and engagement beyond the classroom.
