Page 2 Devon Rowe, Executive Director of CARICAD I do not have the vocabulary of an Antiguan we all know, and so my words may be inadequate to express sincerest appreciation for your contributions to the successful journey (so far) of the CARICAD Secretariat team through the perils of 2020 to 2022. It was a challenging journey; but, certainly rewarding. I believe everyone delivered above and in some cases went way beyond expectations to ensure that a viable path was found for CARICAD despite the enormous challenges. All our jobs were delivered with more and new technology. Meetings are now being held remotely with success though we still need to become experts with all the software options available. I do not believe that people fully grasped the extent of our challenge and thus will be unable to fully comprehend the extent of your service. You all took the time to learn more, and your combined efforts resulted in relevant services being delivered competently. We may not be aware in the short term of the true impact of our service, but I know that everyone’s diligence set the basis for a brighter future for CARICAD than we could have imagined at the onset of the COVID-19 crisis. This year is expected to be no less challenging than 2020 and 2021. The COVID virus remains with us and is no less demanding on our time, energy, and safety precautions. I suspect that we will have to devise new methods to live with COVID. Let us continue with professionalism, enthusiasm and dedication as a united force to provide an exceptional, positive experience for those we serve. Hopefully, our constituents have benefited immensely from information shared, interventions delivered and technical assignments completed. I hope that, like me, you found addressing the challenges a valuable experience. May you continue to inspire excellence. Thanks again for a job well done!
