The college closed in 2018 and is now part of Boston University. In addition, O’Brien obtained a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) in Educational Leadership at Salem State University in 2026. “When I am not at school, you will find me reading (or listening to) books, and spending time with my husband, Sean, and our children, or with friends,” O’Brien said. “We love eating ice cream and playing outside!” O’Brien said she is thrilled to embark on a new phase of her educational career with Saugus Public Schools, in a place where she loves the small town “community feel.” “Everybody knows somebody in Saugus,” she said. “I’ve spent the last 11 years working a variety of roles in the Lynn Public Schools. I started my career as a third grade teacher, moved up to fifth grade for several years. I have also been a math teacher and an English Language Learner teacher DATE 07.31.26 07.29.26 07.27.26 07.28.26 07.28.26 07.27.26 07.30.26 07.29.26 07.27.26 07.31.26 07.31.26 07.29.26 07.29.26 PRICE 695000 770000 735000 1050000 970000 1000000 655000 560000 613000 522000 735000 100000 575000 for students in grades 2-5. During my master’s program I lived in Athens, Greece, with my best friend to teach at the American International School while completing my Master’s of Science in International Teaching and Global Learning, where I graduated from Wheelock College in 2015,” she said. O’Brien has high expectations for her new career challenge as well as the future of Saugus Public Schools. “I stand by four core principles: collaboration, maintaining high expectations, equity and joy,” O’Brien said. “I firmly believe that all students can learn and grow with the appropriate supports and resources. Schools cannot succeed without people actively working together. I cannot wait to see all we’ll accomplish together.”
